"This was our first time in La Rosiere and it will not be our last. The excellent skiing was complemented brilliantly by the Chalet Gelinotte hosts who looked after us so well during the week." -

"We couldn't fault Chalet Gelinotte one bit! had such a wicked time! Already getting our heads together for dates next year. Joe and Hannah's cooking was too good...I've come home and realised how rubbish I am! we couldn't have asked for better at all, seriously you guys nailed it. Big thanks!" -

Your questions answered
Q. How close are we to the nearest piste?
A. The nearest chairlift is a 10 minute bus ride away which picks you up from directly outside of the chalet. Buses run every 15 minutes.
There is also the possibility of walking to the green nursery slope just 5 minutes away. From here you can take a button lift up to the main ski area.
Q. Are sheets and towels provided in the chalet?
A. Yes, of course! We will provide you with freshly cleaned Egyptian cotton sheets and plenty of towels.
Q. Is there internet in the chalet?
A. Yes there is WIFI in the chalet which is easy to connect to, fast and very reliable.
Q. Is there anything else we need to bring?
A. We have hairdryers in the chalet. However perhaps bring some extra adapters if you have lots of electronic items.
Q. Are you able to cater for different dietary requirements?
A. Yes, just inform us with your booking and we can make sure your chalet hosts are able to serve up suitable and delicious food for whatever you may require.
Q. Should I buy travel insurance?
A. This is a condition of booking with us. Just make extra sure you are covered for all winter sports when you speak to the insurance company.
Q. Can I have ski/snowboard lessons?
A. Yes, we can recommend you where to book and can even book the lessons for you if you would like. Lessons are approximately 50 euros for 1 hours private lesson or 105 euros for 3 days of group morning sessions. We will be able to give you the latest prices when the next season commences.
Q. Do we have to arrive at Chalet Gelinotte at a certain time?
A. It depends on whether we have had guests the previous week. If we have, the chalet hosts will be busy cleaning all morning although of course you will be able to drop your bags off first. This will also give you some time to explore the resort. The chalet will usually be ready from 4pm.
Q. Do we have to check out of Chalet Gelinotte by a certain time?
A. We ask you to check out by 09:30am on your day of departure. You are welcome to leave your luggage for collection later in the day and as always we will try and be as flexible as possible.
Q. Will the chalet hosts eat dinner with us/do they live in the chalet?
A. The answer to both these questions is yes as we feel it can often make a more social and enjoyable holiday.
